Environment:Start Time: 8:10 AM Temperature: 59 degrees Sky: Cloud/Sun mix with light wind. Fifty nine degrees! At least that ain’t Centigrade. The wind was no help either – not a cooling breeze. The really bad thing about the wind is it is stripping the colorful leaves from the trees. There are a lot of trees out there that put me in mind of a plucked chicken. Environment:Start Time: 8:30 AM Temperature: 40 degrees Sky: Sunny. All quiet this morning at Lake Pueblo State Park. Even though the temperature was one degree warmer than yesterday when I started it seemed around three degrees colder. Maybe that was the reason so few birds were out and about. Today’s featured image is a couple of Killdeer who were prowling the bank of the Arkansas River. There were actually three of them but I never could get them all in one shot. Environment:Start Time: 8:15 AM Temperature: 43 degrees Sky: Sunny. One of those days. Absolutely perfect conditions for touring the park and not much there to photograph. The sexiest birds I saw were the Double Crested Cormorants and they were all way up waving at the Space Station. There were a lot of American Robins who were really keyed up for some reason. They were flying all around – jumping from branch to branch and sometimes chasing each other. One Robin almost hit me. Strange.
