I got going in pretty good light but my enthusiasm for the light was quickly squashed by the wickedest breeze that I’ve ever tried to work in. So I was delighted to get today’s featured (and only) image pretty early on which allowed me to cut the walk short. The look on the face of this Great Horned Owl tells me that s/he was not too thrilled with the climate either. Hope the hunting is good…

Today’s featured image is a Great Horned Owl who, I believe, was just waking up and running over the day’s to-do list before heading out. Besides this organized owl there wasn’t much else to shoot.
