Activity today was mostly Osprey (fishing and nest repairs) and Blue Jays being very vocal and going after the Cottonwood Flowers which are everywhere. One of those Jays landed the featured image slot up top. Pictured below is one of the Osprey escorting a very nice catch over the park. I managed to make two passes past the Great Horned Owl nest this morning. On my first visit only Mom was visible. I imagine she was keeping her little ones warm in the cool morning air. Environment:Start Time: 6:35 AM Temperature: 32 degrees Sky: Mostly sunshine. Things seem to have held up well at Lake Pueblo State Park after the last few days of dangerously high winds. I was only able to see one newly fallen tree. I’m happy to report that the Great Horned Owl, nest and babies came through with flying colors. The Osprey were very busy today trying to grab a bite here and there but not having a lot of success that I could see.
