The featured image, again, goes to a juvenile Osprey who may be the only one left to manage the number of fish in the Arkansas River. I saw two perched Osprey today but I can’t say for sure if I saw two different birds. With the weather forecasts that I have been hearing lately, I hope it (or they) head South tonight. Wish I could go along. Also seen today were two Cooper’s Hawks – one adult (below) and one juvenile. Both appeared intent on grabbing a bite to eat. Pictured here is a European Starling coming out of a tree cavity. Not sure what it thought was going on in there but it did not stay long.
