After three days of Winter-like weather, I decided to make the trek out to Lake Pueblo State Park so I could check on all my friends. I wish more of my friends had made the same effort. Featured (because it showed up) is a Red-tailed Hawk perching on one of the Ospreys favorite spots over the river. This was as close as I got to it – the other shot posted here is the same bird but at a much greater distance. The Magpie shot was captured just as I was driving out of the park. Shooting out of the car window does not always render the best results.
