Environment:
Start Time: 3:15 PM Temperature: 35 degrees Sky: All sunshine.

The morning temperatures are making afternoon trips my favorite choice, even though the warmer temperature was just 35 degrees. I still consider today’s trip a big success due to the appearance of two American Bald Eagles. One of them kept its distance but the one I got close to (featured above) looks to be a nearly mature bird with a lot on its mind. Neither bird stuck around for long but it was great seeing them. My only other captures are the female Downy Woodpecker pictured here and the Ring-billed Gull at the bottom of this post. Gulls are usually pretty ignorable but this bird seemed to practically glow in the low angle afternoon light. I couldn’t help myself.
