It looks like Old Man Winter is going to take a little break over the next several days so I ventured out to Lake Pueblo State Park to have a look around. Overall things were pretty quiet on this frosty morning. Pictured here is a European Starling apparently laying claim to a nest site that has been very popular over the years. It probably has low taxes. The Great Horned Owl was also seen sleeping in her nest. Today’s featured image is an American Herring Gull picking at a not-too-lively fish in the Arkansas River. I am not sure if the gull actually caught the fish or if it is simply doing a little river cleanup.
