Yesterday’s high winds do not seem to have produced any noticeable damage in and around Rock Canyon. I was hoping that a few more birds might have been blown in but that doesn’t seem to have happened. Featured today is a juvenile Cooper’s Hawk who was pretty patient with me but eventually moved on. Pictured here is a male Downy Woodpecker that was getting some work done pretty high up in a tree. The Blue Jays seem to be pretty busy too – the one posted here made it very difficult for me to get a shot.
