Environment:
Start Time: 7:55 AM Temperature: 40 degrees Sky: Eventually sunshine.

Lots more bird activity today combined with a nice variety of birds (check the Sightings Box below) made for a very enjoyable and productive walk this morning. Pictured here is a Dark-eyed Junco making a late Winter appearance. I did spot an adult Cooper’s Hawk working the open area in the fire damaged area West of the Osprey Picnic grounds. I got some nice perched shots but a slightly less sharp image of a takeoff really tells a better story. There were a lot of Blue Jays and some Eastern Bluebirds to add color to the morning. Featured is a White-breasted Nuthatch who was hard at work completely ignoring gravity.
