Another great morning for a walk. There was a lot of bird activity though generally at great distance. The Ospreys were busy gliding through the sky and the Starlings were all grouped up together in the tree tops. My only good photo opportunity came when I checked the Barn Swallow nest under the eves of the informational kiosk at the Anticline Fishing Pond and found three pretty large nestlings keeping an eye out for incoming grub. I tried to get a shot right then but somehow they all managed to scrunch down into that tiny nest out of sight. My interest in the site also got mom and dad pretty upset so I backed off and continued my walk. My otherwise uneventful walk. On the way back I, again, passed the nest and this time I preset the Nikon so I could grab a quick shot before the kids new I was there. This tactic paid off though the image I got only includes two of the siblings. That image is posted below. As a bonus image for this post I looked back in my archives and found a shot of Liberty Point that I shot this same day last year which is today’s featured image.
