Pleasant weather persists at Lake Pueblo State Park. Small birds continue to be the most available, of those, Sparrows seem to be the most willing to be photographed. I got a good series of a Song Sparrow who took pity on me and sat still for a while. I hope no one tells him that I’m not posting any of these shots because I don’t want to have to rename this site HiddenSparrow.com! Big birds were in evidence this morning – I saw both a Red-Tailed Hawk and a Great Horned Owl. The problem was that each of these birds saw me before I saw them and decided to fly off. So I have selected as the featured image for today a shot from November 2019 of an American Bald Eagle. I have yet to spot an Eagle this year but I intend to keep looking.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallard Ducks, White-Crowned Sparrows, Sparrows, Dark-Eyed Juncos, Great Horned Owl, Canada Geese, Red-Tailed Hawk, Western Grebe, Starlings
Critters: Mule Deer

Gear: Lumix GX-85, 45-150mm
