Moderate temperatures this morning allowed me to get out to Lake Pueblo State Park for a morning walk. Conditions were as close to perfect as you could ask for. Though the bird activity was disappointingly low the Mule Deer were out in force showing off their Winter coats. Today’s featured image (above) is one of many frames captured. The photos at the end of this post contain another deer image (a manly looking buck) and a new bird for my personal sightings list – a Ring-Billed Gull. I thought it was a California Gull when I took the picture but I ran it through Google Lens just to be sure. Glad I did.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallard Ducks, Western Grebe, Western Bluebirds, Belted Kingfisher, Gulls, Canada Geese, Ring-Billed Gull, Dark-Eyed Junco, Sparrow, Great Blue Heron, Hawk, Wren
Critters: Mule Deer, Squirrel

Gear: Lumix GX-85, 100-300 mm
