Another fantastic day for a stroll in the park. Since the bird population has been down of late leaving the options to ducks or juncos I decided to concentrate on ducks this morning. Not only that – I decided it would be a good day to try out the video on the GH4. So with tripod in hand I pulled into the parking lot on the South side of the river and headed downriver to see what I could capture. Two of today’s videos are posted below. Not the best of shots but, in my defense, there were so many fishermen (and fisherwomen) on the river that the ducks were pretty skittish. Not only that there was also two guys who were actually panning for gold in the Arkansas River! The second clip of the Gadwalls is kind of neat because a Green-winged Teal actually swims in from the right at the end. Another “new” bird for me!
