Yet another stellar day for walking along the Arkansas River. I was certainly not the only one who felt that way because there were many folks out walking the trail with me – many with their best four legged friends. I don’t know if this excess traffic was to blame for the serious lack of birds making themselves visible but I guess that is as good a reason as any. I did get another shot of an American Kestrel but I had a Kestrel in my last post and I don’t like to look like I’m playing favorites. Fortunately Liberty Point (one of my favorite subjects) was standing proud over the prairie so it is today’s featured image. Posted below is a shot of some Rabbitbrush and a weathered stump standing at a bend in the river. I just wish an eagle had been sitting on that stump.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Buffleheads, Chickadee, American Kestrel, Dark-eyed Juncos
Critters: none

Gear: Lumix GH4, 45-150mm
