After a brief one day Winter interlude faux Spring is back. I got going about as early as I have in 2021. Wildlife is still scarce but I was very surprised to see two Cabbage Butterflies flitting about – looking for the flowers that have not quite decided to sprout. For a featured image today is a not great shot of an American Kestrel who was perched high above the trail. I wonder if it is his fault that there are very few smaller birds about.

Sightings:
Birds: Canada Geese, Gulls, Flicker, American Coot, Dark-eyed Juncos, Gadwalls, Buffleheads, Mallards, Common Goldeneye, American Kestrel
Critters: Butterfly

Gear: Nikon D5100, 55-300mm
