Environment:
Start Time: 6:45 AM Temperature: 57 degrees Sky: Sun filtered by heavy wildfire haze. No breeze. Air Quality alert in effect.

All I want is for a few different types of birds to land nearby in good light and look adorable. Is that too much to ask? I guess it was today – though with the heavy fire haze I can’t really blame the birds for staying in. I saw, briefly an OK variety of birds – the rarest of them what I believe to be a female Blue Grosbeak. The picture that I got was only good enough to make a pretty credible identification. That’s about as exciting as it got. I did get a nice shot of a Turkey Vulture (posted below) but I find the photo lacking in the adorable category. Today’s featured image (above) is what some research has led me to identify as Giant Morning Star – not quite opened up in the early morning light.
