Autumn Scene at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Instead of taking my wide angle gear like I did yesterday I brought a more mid-range lens this morning thinking it would be a good day to try some video. I did shoot a little video (to be posted at a later date) but I really regretted not keeping the wide angle lens on camera. If I’d tried birding – today would have been a disaster. Besides the few birds listed below I heard some Blue Jays and I heard a Kingfisher. Today’s featured image is a colorful view of the North bank of the Arkansas River near the bend in the river where the old Highway 96 bridge supports are. The mini-gallery below demonstrates the leaf situation in the park – some trees have lots of colorful leaves and others look like plucked chickens. We shall see what the morrow will bring.

Sightings:
Birds: Duck (1), Gulls, American Kestrel, White-crowned Sparrows, Northern Flicker, American Robin, Starlings
Critters: Prairie Dogs, Grasshoppers, Woodlouse, Tree Squirrel, Mule Dear

Gear: Panasonic Lumix GH4, 45-150mm
