A chilly, cloudy morning pushed today’s walk into the afternoon hours. Really a nice walking day for those with the foresight to dress appropriately – this did not include me. Thought I could get by with a T-shirt. I couldn’t. Things were fine when I was in the sunshine but once in a shaded spot with the breeze it was cold! Not a lot of bird activity there to reward me for my suffering. One exciting find was a group of Mountain Bluebirds flitting around the picnic area by the fishing pond. The two frames I captured are posted below – not the best photos but the only ones I have ever gotten of these birds. Today’s featured image is of a couple of Mule Deer Doe who were staring at me until a bicyclist drove by and distracted them. Not a bad shot.
