Hairy Woodpecker at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Weather was even better today with temps almost ten degrees higher than yesterday. Fewer fishermen were on the river today and I had a couple of Belted Kingfisher sightings – though no photos of the little guys. Shots today consisted of pretty much smaller birds – the Pied-billed Grebes posted below are the biggest birds I captured. Today’s featured image is a Townsend’s Solitaire who was hanging out on the same tree as the Hairy Woodpecker also posted.

Birds: Mallards, Common Goldeneye, Gadwalls, Gulls, Pied-billed Grebe, belted kingfisher, Starlings, American Robins, White-crowned Sparrows, Townsend’s Solitaire, Hairy Woodpecker, Canada Geese
Critters: Mule Deer, Prairie Dog
