Bright sunshine and an acceptable temperature got me out for a morning walk today. The Osprey are settling in but they were very vocal this morning – I can’t say why. One event that I hope pans out for me was a pair of Osprey checking out the abandoned nest on the power pole that is right on my normal walking path. They are today’s featured image (above) and I would love it if they were to settle in there. I have spotted a couple of European Starling nests – pictured below is one adult leaving its nest. Red-tails were out today as well and I have posted a shot of a rather stern looking bird. But the real action today turned out to be the American Kestrels who were in a particularly romantic mood. Posted in the gallery below are shots of two different couples taking care of the most important aspect of nesting season. I hope my site keeps its G-Rating after this.
