My hopes of a sunny walk were almost immediately dashed upon arrival at Lake Pueblo State Park as a cloud bank swallowed up the Sun. Old Sol made a couple of appearances but never had the strength to totally conquer that obstructive water vapor. Activity was equally subdued – I saw exactly 4 ducks on the river and the Canada Geese parents are still keeping the little ones on dry land. Today’s featured image (above) is one of those land bound goslings. I hope he eventually gets some swimming lessons. Most other birds that I crossed paths with were perching and taking it easy. The only newcomer I spotted today was the Orchard Oriole pictured here.
