Mule Deer at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Really muggy this morning making almost perfect conditions a bit trying. Nevertheless, I did my whole two miles and got home with something to show for it. I spotted two of the Cooper’s Hawk siblings playing Tag in the tree tops and eventually managed to catch them in a quiet moment. Today’s featured image is a flight of Canada Geese who were cruising up the Arkansas at about eye level. They were having an intense discussion about something. Also posted is one of this year’s Mule Deer fawns – this is about as close to one as I have ever been. The Double Crested Cormorants are starting to congregate in the trees along the river with a little more regularity. I think their child rearing duties may be lightening up giving them more free time.
