Sunny, warmish mornings continue to be the rule at Lake Pueblo State Park. Today’s surprise, and featured image, is an Ornate Tree Lizard who (whom?) I caught peaking out of a crack in a stump. He has to be wondering why it is so warm in late September. I only saw two Osprey today and one Red-tailed hawk, pictured here, perched on the highest point possible in the park. The hot spot today was in and around the Arkansas River with appearances by a couple of Mule Deer looking for refreshment and a Great Blue Heron and a Killdeer both seeking nourishment. I think everyone got what they needed.
