Great Blue Heron at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

The color keeps getting better and better even as the weather stays warm and dry. Birding is still dry too. I hope nobody is getting sick of Heron shots cause this one Great Blue Heron seems to be the only regular plus sized bird around who is willing to pose. I did catch a House Finch couple (I assume) feasting on the last of the Wild Sunflower seeds but they didn’t stick around long.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Canada Geese, Ring-billed Gulls, American Robins, Starlings, White-crowned Sparrows, Great Blue Heron, Northern Flicker, Sparrows, House Finches, Belted Kingfisher, Raven
Critters: Cabbage White Butterfly, Painted Lady Butterfly, Grasshoppers, Mule Deer, Tree Squirrels, Prairie Dog

Gear: Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Panasonic Lumix 100-300mm
