Eagles are remaining elusive but I’m still having luck with owls. Today’s featured image is a Great Horned Owl who, I believe, was just waking up and running over the day’s to-do list before heading out. Besides this organized owl there wasn’t much else to shoot. Pictured below is a White-crowned Sparrow that I caught checking out the Arkansas River in the late afternoon sunshine. Tomorrow’s weather is predicted to be even better than today’s – wish I could get a bird forecast, too.

Birds: Gadwalls, Gulls, Goldeneye, Buffleheads, Canada Geese, Northern Flicker, Dark-eyed Juncos, Great Horned Owl, Great Blue Herons, Starlings, American Robins, White-crowned Sparrows, Blue Jay
Critters: Mule Deer, Tree Squirrels
