Start Time: 3:35 PM Temperature: 45 degrees Sky: Sunny with a light breeze.

Good walking weather returned this afternoon so I was out checking things out. I saw my first juvenile Bald Eagle for 2023. S/He was hanging around the Anticline Fishing Pond and allowed me to get one perching shot before taking flight to become today’s featured image. The only other bird of prey that I captured is the Northern Shrike pictured below.

Birds: Buffleheads, Gulls, Canada Geese, Common Goldeneye, Gadwalls, Northern Flickers, Pied-billed Grebe, American Coot, Great Horned Owl, American Bald Eagle, American Kestrel, Northern Shrike, Wild Turkeys, Red-tailed Hawk
Critters: Mule Deer, Prairie Dog
