Environment:
Start Time: 8:15 AM Temperature: 46 degrees Sky: Sunny with a few clouds.
Activity at Lake Pueblo State Park was quite low this morning despite the near perfect conditions. There were very few fisherman on or in the Arkansas River and I was passed by just a single bicyclist. Bird action was also low but I did catch one of the Cooper’s Hawks hanging out close by the nest. Pictured here is a female Red-winged Blackbird. Top and bottom of this post are a male and female Wood Duck. There are not many Wood Ducks around yet – hopefully more are on the way. The Osprey seemed to be working on their nests.
