Things are getting Springier and Springier as the days pass out at Lake Pueblo State Park. Today’s featured image (above) is an example of the Cottonwood Flower that is everywhere. Pictured below are three Violet-green Swallows just in from Capistrano. Also pictured is a Northern Flicker who was very interested in one of the not-flowering Cottonwoods. The Arkansas River is looking good as well with some of the prettiest ducks adding just the right amount of color (below).

Birds: Pied-billed Grebes, Mallards, Wood Ducks, Starlings, Ospreys, Canada Geese, Double Crested Cormorants, American Kestrels, American Robins, Cooper’s Hawk, White-crowned Sparrows, Wrens, Northern Flicker, Belted Kingfisher, Mourning Doves, Blue Jay, Red-breasted Mergansers, Hairy Woodpecker, Red-tailed Hawk, Violet-green Swallows, Say’s Phoebe, Canyon Towhee, Crows
Critters: Mule Deer, Prairie Dog, Tree Squirrels, Cabbage White Butterfly
