Kind of a ho-hum day out on the trail. If I wanted to shoot Starlings and Morning Doves this would have been a wildly successful day. The high point of the walk was spotting the Wild Turkey (below) way off in the distance and I’m glad I took the shot so I had something to post. The spider’s web at the bottom of the post isn’t what I would call high art but the light was pretty cool so I fired. The featured image is the only bird that I got close to – an Eastern Kingbird who was working the bank of the Arkansas River trying to rid the area of flying bugs. I wish it luck.
