After a little break I’m back patrolling Lake Pueblo State Park in search of wildlife big or small. Today’s sightings were pretty varied with only a few birds willing to pose for me. There seem to be a lot more sparrows working the undergrowth lately. I caught one Song Sparrow (featured above) pausing briefly to catch some morning sunshine. Great Blue Herons are a lot more evident these days, too. I still haven’t seen an Eagle but I was lucky enough to catch a large flight of Sandhill Cranes flying over on their way to warmer climes.
