I took a stab at a morning tour of Lake Pueblo State park today. The Bald Eagles I was hoping to find did not show up. On the smaller end of the bird spectrum a bunch of American Bushtits did appear and this one paused long enough for me to make a capture. I also had some luck with a female Belted Kingfisher who landed on a perch quite close to me – my only complaint is that she tried to hide behind a leafy twig. Still she landed the featured image prize.
