Despite the crisp temperature I elected to do a morning tour of Lake Pueblo State Park. It turned out to be a good decision. As I was driving into the Rock Canyon area I spotted two Coyotes coming toward me on the side of the road. I stopped in the middle of the road grabbed my camera and tried to get some captures. Well it took my camera so long to start up that I only got a couple of shots of Coyote butt. Today’s featured image is a Mule Deer buck who I found displaying some serious interest in a couple of lady deer. The two doe of interest are pictured at the bottom of this post. They seemed to be very nervous at the presence of this not so secret admirer and stayed on the move. At one point another buck showed up but soon left the scene at the suggestion of the first buck. To top off the outing I found a pair of Great Horned Owls perched ready to doze off.
