With White-crowned Sparrows opening and closing this post, it should be obvious that today’s tour of Rock Canyon was a little dull. Though I have to admit that these two sparrows needed no lessons on how to pose. The featured sparrow is an adult male who really knew what to do with the low angle morning light. Pictured below is a Canada Goose who seemed to be really bummed, and was very vocal, about the frozen surface of the fishing pond. The ice on the pond must be really thick because even with the warm days we have been having it simply will not thaw.
