There was a lot less action this morning than occurred on my last outing. I did see an Osprey hauling around a fish and there were quite a few Mule Deer milling about. Mrs. Owl remains on the nest – the picture of patience. I’m even starting to think that someone put a stuffed owl up there to mess with me. Featured is one of the aforementioned Mule Deer. I spent the most time chasing the Black-capped Chickadee pictured here. This particular bird was a master at posing with a twig blocking its eye. I got it eventually. If you can believe Google and Cornell Ornithology Labs I got a new bird today. At the bottom of this post is what I am told is a Eurasian Collard-Dove. I’m not planning on betting the house on that ID.
