The Ospreys were busy this morning working on nest building. I saw one actively breaking branches (twigs) from treetops and delivering them to the nest. I saw two different nests being developed. The owl’s nest is still in waiting. I found out that mother (assumed) owl is alive as I saw her fidgeting this morning. Pictured here is what I believe to be the dad who appeared to be hanging out in the waiting room. There were a couple of Wood Ducks browsing through the trees looking for a good place for their nest. Featured above is the Drake heading off to the next open house. The Arkansas River, which is running kind of high, was pretty empty when it came to waterfowl though I caught a group of Mule Deer crossing as the Sun rose.
