There was a lot of Osprey action today but it was mostly high in the sky and/or far away. I did see a Red-tailed Hawk in the area of what I believe to be its nest but there was no activity at all in the nest. Things were a little different at the Great Horned Owl’s nest. Mom was sitting on a nearby tree facing the nest (but she seemed to be snoozing) while the two nestlings were huddled together staring at her. It was good to see mom get a little alone time. Featured today is a Juvenile Cooper’s Hawk who was sitting on a branch looking around intently – I guess trying to decide what it wanted for breakfast.
