The rain has finally gone and the mud is nearly dried up so it seemed like a good day to check out the goings on at Lake Pueblo State Park. Spring has kicked into high gear with the trees leafing out like crazy. Blue Jays, Robins and doves were all chattering up a storm. Featured today is a pair of Wood Ducks who I caught taking a walk along the trail beside the Arkansas River. If they could have held hands I’m sure they would have. Today’s post is the last Owl Watch contribution. As you can see in the image below the nest is empty. All of the little ones are staking out spots of their own away from the nest. I tried to post pictures of each of the siblings below and I hope I got each individual. Also pictured here is a shot of a Great Blue Heron flying over the Moon. It was a long shot but I couldn’t resist. The big news of the day is that I got a new bird: White-faced Ibis. Pictured at the bottom of this post is a whole flight of them over the park. I thought I was shooting a group of Cormorants but when I reviewed my day’s captures I saw they were something else.
