What was a pretty sunny morning when I left my house ended up being kind of gloomy and cool by the time I stepped out of my car at Lake Pueblo State Park. But I am glad I forged ahead because I had a pretty good outing to say the least. In fact, I came home with more cool images than I can post – a nice problem to have. So here is a sampling of today’s product starting with a Chickadee in flight – today’s featured image. I caught a Cooper’s Hawk scouring the trees for nesting material and I may have a fix on the nest. The American Kestrels seemed to have calmed down a bit today though I did see two more of them starting a family. Posted below is the big prize of the day – a Juvenile American Bald Eagle who’s adult plumage is starting to show. I thought we were done with eagles but am happy to be proven wrong.
