Common Grackle at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Warmer mornings are starting to become the rule getting me out on the trail earlier and earlier. I like these early starts as it usually gives me a chance to spot Wild Turkeys before they hunker down for the day. I’m still waiting on Orioles, Tanagers, Kingbirds and Swallows but I don’t think that will be long. The birds that are around were keeping their distance today leaving me with one shot of a Common Grackle and a couple of Mergansers. Today’s featured image is a landscape that I shot yesterday morning.

Sightings:
Birds: Canada Geese, Mallards, Osprey, Gulls, Robins, Red-breasted Mergansers, Starlings, Cormorants, American Kestrel, Pied-billed Grebe, Wood Ducks, Great Blue Heron, American Coots, Belted Kingfisher, Grackle, White-crowned Sparrows, Wild Turkeys, Blue Jay
Critters: Mule Deer

Gear: Nikon D5600, 55-300mm
