Not a very productive day out on the trail – photographically speaking. There was a bit of weird behavior over-all. The Canada Geese were kind of chasing each other around as were a group of three Osprey. I couldn’t figure out the reason for this. At any rate – everyone was keeping their distance from me. Mother Great Horned Owl followed the same routine as yesterday. On my early visit to the nest she was all there was to be seen in the nest. On my second pass she was out on the patio with the little ones sitting there like fury marshmallows. I’m pretty sure the Red-tailed Hawk pictured here is also minding a nest but I cannot locate it in the dense area. Featured is a White-breasted Nuthatch who turned out to be today’s most cooperative subject.
