Not a lot going on this morning at Lake Pueblo State Park though the Arkansas River’s falling water level is attracting more fishermen. There was a lot of bird activity but very few volunteers for Internet fame. I accidentally flushed out a pair of twin fawns and got a decent shot of one of them. Today’s featured image is also another critter – a Monarch Butterfly sampling one of the Wild Sunflowers that dot the park. The only birds that I managed (with some effort) to capture are in the mini-gallery at the bottom of this post. The Cooper’s Hawk is the only one of the siblings that I saw or heard and it was perched very high up in the trees. I think the family is breaking up.
