After twelve years walking the trails in Rock Canyon I finally got a shot of a Bobcat. Bobcats are furry but my shot came out fuzzy. This critter was in a very shaded spot on a no longer maintained trail which pushed the exposure shutter speed down to 1/200 second. A hand held long lens at that speed in crap light gives you the photo I got. Maybe next time. Winning the featured image spot (at post top) is a young Mule Deer Buck sporting some still velvet covered antlers. This critter had the good sense to stand in good light. Pictured here is a Great Horned Owl giving me the side-eye. This wise bird was perched (in good light) on a fallen log with its back to the rising Sun.
