Merry Christmas. Looking around this morning it was fairly obvious that today would not be a White Christmas. Snow rarely falls with temperatures in the high forties. Great day for walking for sure. The park was not super busy with only a few fishermen (probably trying out new gear) and even fewer walkers or runners (I saw one of each.) Not too many birds, either. I did shoot some images of Goldeneye ducks. Just to be sure, I ran one shot through Google Lens and discovered that these ducks were Barrow’s Goldeneye ducks. So even on a slow day I managed to get a “new” bird. If the pictures had been better I would have posted one here. Today’s featured image is not a duck but a Red-tailed hawk that I shot November, 2018.
