With the Bald Eagles back on the scene I headed out early to Lake Pueblo State Park with visions of ending 2022 on a grand scale with dozens of captures of the mighty raptor. Nope. There wasn’t much bird activity at all except for one White-breasted Nuthatch who did not have time to pose. Today’s featured image of a juvenile Cooper’s Hawk was shot today but not on my walk. I spotted him early this morning in my backyard keeping a close eye on my bird feeder – which was not surprisingly devoid of diners. Happy New Year!
