Another frosty morning for today’s outing. The cold actually made me want to stay closer to my car so I was out for a little shorter time than usual and didn’t cover as much ground. But I found a few raptor buddies willing to pose for me, though at a distance. Featured is a Cooper’s Hawk who was soaking up the rising sunshine just like the American Kestrel pictured here. I did see a Red-tailed Hawk who was not feeling like being on the Internet today. There wasn’t a lot going on on the Arkansas River this morning. But there were several American Coots out there sampling what was available. I did hear a couple of Great Horned Owls having a conversation but I did not see them at all.
