A really persistent and rather chilly breeze (AKA wind) finally drove me to cutting today’s walk short. I was feeling pretty defeated as I headed back to the car with nothing new on my memory card. But my day was saved by an adult American Bald Eagle flying over the trail. I can’t decide if it was enjoying gliding in the wind or if that wind was making life difficult. Eventually the big bird wheeled around and went with the flow out over the prairie. The featured image of the rising Sun lighting up the Wet Mountains was shot as I entered the park.
