Environment:
Start Time: 4:00 PM Temperature: 45 degrees Sky: Clouds and Sun with chilling breeze.

A brief morning snowfall pushed my walk to the afternoon. It should have been warmer but the persistent breeze was very annoying. Finding two owls pretty much made up for the chill. The first one (featured) was trying to hide but really didn’t succeed. Owl number two (below) was really tough to spot. I only knew he (?) was around because he was hooting. It took around five minutes to finally zero in. I shot the Northern Flicker pictured here while I was owl hunting. As I was leaving I had to shoot the cool clouds behind the fishing pond which were being lit up by the setting Sun.
