I finally decided that it wasn’t too cold to take a morning walk and did just that. I got the feeling that most of the birds out at Lake Pueblo State Park had taken the other side of the argument. Very few birds or critters were making themselves visible. Today’s opening and closing images are of the same Red-tailed Hawk. It was kind of animated on its perch (fluffed up in the featured shot up top) and I was just about to set up my tripod to shoot some video when he flew off (bottom). I thought I had captured an owl but closer examination of the frames revealed that I had not. The only other action today was the lady Belted Kingfisher pictured here who kept moving further upriver each time I approached.
