Things were a little more active this morning out on the trail. I just missed shots of a coyote and an eagle according to reports from fellow trail regulars. So it goes. I did get a crack at some Winter ducks – below is a Bufflehead hen and the featured image, in observance of Valentine’s Day, is a Green-winged Teal couple having breakfast together on the Arkansas River. On the sexier side I got a nice, though impatient, Red-tailed Hawk and an equally impatient Great Blue Heron – both of whom abandoned their perches shortly after I arrived on the scene. By my calculations we are just about one month away from Osprey Season!
