Lately afternoon walks have been pretty Ho-Hum. It looks like that could be changing now that 2025 has arrived. I’m still disappointed with the ducks (or lack of ducks) on the Arkansas River. I hope things pick up soon. We still have American Robins decorating the trees and American Kestrels were hard at work this afternoon. Featured today is a Great Horned Owl that I thought might be a Long Eared Owl but Google and Cornell Labs didn’t see it my way. Anyway, this is not an owl that I have photographed often like some of the others around here. Pictured here is an American Kestrel who seemed to be relaxing as the Sun was setting.
